Would it be possible to use a G3 Powerbook as monitor and keyboard for a Mac
Mini and how would one set that up. I'm looking for a portable recording
solution and the G3 (Pismo) I am currently using isn't quite up to the task,
I can't afford a G4 powerbook and a traditional desktop is way to much to lug
around.

Any input will be most appreciatively received!

Sorry, I don't believe so. If there are any monitor OUTPUTS on the
Powerbook, they'd be just that. You'd need to get an video input
device for the POwerbook and that definitely wouldn't be worth it.
Although, I'm using my macMini with a cheapo 15" TFT screen and it
works nicely and still takes up almost no desk real estate

best regards!

This has been discussed about a month ago. Suggest some Google groups
searches.

One approach is to use VNC

OSXvnc on the Mac Mini
Chicken of the VNC on the Powerbook

Timbuktu is also a possibility.

I think the trick is getting it all configured first, which will require
a keyboard, mouse, and monitor for that initial activity.
