Post subject: Personal finance software
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>apps (more info?)

I have an iMac PPC G5 running 10.4.11, and up to now have been running
Microsoft Money in VPC because my bank supported statements being downloaded
directly into the program (and they only supported MS Money). This support
has now been withdrawn, so I can move on to a specific Mac application
(without that particular facility, obviously), but there seem to be so many
out there that I would like to hear some personal recommendations.

I would like to be able to track several accounts and if I transfer money
from account A to B, be able to enter that into account A and have it
automatically show up in B, and if I mark that item as Cleared in A, have it
also Cleared in B. I also use MS Money to keep track of forthcoming regular
bills. I don't use it to budget nor to print cheques.

Any suggestions? Fortora Fresh Finance looks hopeful although a bit more
than I wanted to pay.

I've heard only good things about MoneyWell
(http://nothirst.com/moneywell/) and the developer seems extremely
motivated. Even if your bank claims they only work with MS Money, he
might just have a way to make it happen.

That looks interesting, and they have a free trial and apparently support my
bank. Thanks for the link.
