Post subject: Permissions on Photos uploaded from iPhone to iPhoto (Snow Leopard)
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>apps (more info?)

Hi guys,
can someone do some checks for me please?

If you have an iPhone & upload to iPhoto, can you then check on what
permissions are set on the file the photo stored as please?

I'm interested to hear what permissions people are getting with Snow
Leopard and pre-Snow Leopard to see if they match my observations
(of a change in behaviour):

On my iMac:

With Leopard, the underlying files' permissions were: 744
With Snow Leopard, new uploads result in files set to: 700 (and hence
aren't visible to other users of the system).

Now the oddity is that uploads from a selection of random cameras
result in the permissions of 744, even with Snow Leopard!

Much cheers,
Marlon
