I should've thought of that myself ... but they really looked so much the same ...

But PPT never complained! It should have given me at least a little warning! grrr at microsoft ... (will they ever get things right?)

Definitely, but I don't think we have that in the Mac version.

They certainly did. Honestly, I was grabbing at straws with that one, after having
looked at the two screenshots very closely.

It sure would be nice if there were a warning. In the Windows version, the Replace
Fonts dialog box displays icons to let you know whether each font is embedded,
installed or missing. That can be very helpful too.

Definitely not. On the help menu, there's a contact us option ... it might be a good
idea to fire that puppy up and ask for this feature.

But the point is that you do not look there, unless you suspect something, which you normally don't.

You might consider running the Compatibility Report... It doesn't list the
subbed fonts by name, but it does;

1- indicate if substitution has occurred,
2- selects a placeholder containing the substitution, &
3- that font will be selected when you go to Replace Font.
