Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>apps (more info?)

I just installed OS 10.5 on my Mac Mini and I'm getting the following
error message after login into my account on my Mac.

Runtime Error 4: Failed Assertion

Location: /Volumes/RBUS/Common/
RuntimeMain.cpp:395
Failure Condition: lib
Failure Message:

Please report what caused this error along with all of the details
above

Does anyone have any idea what this means?

Also while I was using Tiger I had a Mail app plugin running called
httpmail, and I didn't think about it when I installed Leopard, but
the Mail app in Leopard doesn't like it and cause the Mail app to
lockup at launch. I've made attempts to contact the developer asking
how to rid myself of this, but as of yet I haven't heard back from
them.

This error seems to be somehow related to an application titled "iCash":

<http://tinyurl.com/248gtv>

Try uninstalling iCash if you have it installed.

BTW, I hope you obtained Leopard through legal means. And if you did
obtain it legally, publicly discussing problems you encounter with it
may break whatever non-disclosure agreement you made when you obtained
it. I'd bee careful if I were you...

It means you're running a pirated version of Leopard or you wouldn't be
asking here, dipshit.

It means there's definitely poetic justice in this world.

It's a violation of NDA to talk about this here...

I'm sure you're right.

For some reason, when I saw "10.5 Leopard" I read "10.4 Tiger" and
didn't realize until after I had answered that it was Leopard he was
talking about. : (

_Real_ poetic justice would mean that Mark Conrad would reply to the OP...
and the OP would follow Markie-poo's advice.

This is a well-known bug that is about to trigger a class-action suit
against Apple. You have to send your complete contact information and a
description of this problem to the following address:

legal.RemoveThis@apple.com

Apple will reply with details about your compensation, or whether they
are going to court.

Good luck.

I've heard through the grape vine, Apple is expecting to pay in excess
of $250 per person in the class action lawsuit. Definitely worth
emailing them if you ask me!
