Active-X does not work in MacOS. That would be a nice to have feature.
Apple is the most likely entity to port Active-X to the Mac. You can suggest
that they do so here:

Of course anyone who wants to can port Active-X to the Mac. Here's the link
to the specification in case you have nothing to do this weekend and want to
port it yourself
