Hello all,

I'm looking for some advice on an external DVD+/-RW drive. I'm a PC person
and my wife is a Mac person and I'd like to get an external DVD+/-RW drive
that we can share. I originally wanted to get one of the current Pioneer or
Sony offerings, but OS 10.3 doesn't appear to support them outright. Is
there a way to make these drives work that is reliable? Or, is there a
better choice of drives I should select from?

Thanxx for your advice and suggestions,

Adam

I was going to do the same thing with an external firewire drive. It's
still a good idea. However I ended up buying a Pioneer 106 for the mac
and a LG GSA-4040B for the pc (the LG received top honors at
tomshardware.com over the sony). Both for about the same price as an
external. Both drives are 4X DVD+/-R +/-RW. Prices are dropping as 8x
drives are being introduced. I also bought iLife software (for iDvd)
which retails for $49. -Ken
