Help! Can't write to CD or DVD after installing Tiger!

Let's see...I have a: Machine Name: iMac Machine Model: PowerMac6,3 CPU
Type: PowerPC G4 (3.3) After installing OS X 10.4 I can't burn
disc's...CD's or DVD's.

It is saying that the disk only supports read-only. I have been able to
burn everything in the past. Any ideas on what to do?

I've heard that resetting the parameter RAM sometimes helps in this case.
