Post subject: Graphics Pasted from Another Application Do Not Display Properly in Powerpoint 2004
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>mac>office>powerpoint (more info?)

Office 2004 introduced a significant bug regarding the handling of
graphics pasted from another application. The effects are most severe
in Powerpoint, but are also apparent in Word.

I prepare a monthly report that uses a histogram generated in Active
Risk Manager (a product of Strategic Thought Ltd.). When pasted into
Powerpoint 2004, the bars in the histogram lose their color and appear
as outlines.

When the same file is subsequently opened in Powerpoint 2001 or
Powerpoint v.X, it appears normal. The problem also appears when the
Powerpoint 2004 file is opened in Powerpoint 2003 (Windows).

I have been performing exactly the same operation in Powerpoint v.X
for years with no problem, so the bug was obviously introduced in
Office 2004.

If the same operations are performed entirely within Office 2003
(Windows), the resulting file displays normally in Powerpoint 2004.

This might be worth trying - save the graphics as jpegs and then insert
them into the PowerPoint file.
