Font point size changes

Hi, This might sound a bit weird, but i have been constantly facing
this problem. I have a mac with Microsoft Powerpoint 98 installed in
it! The point size of the text from some slides in my presentation
suddenly increase when copied and pasted to another file. Infact the
font also changes from Arial to Times New Roman automatically. I have
tried looking at the master page... but it is not the master page that
affects it. infact i tried making some slides with an empty master
page and then when i paste it on to some other presentation it changes
automatically (this presentation also does not have anything in the
master page). I tried saving in lower version of powerpoint, inserting
the slides instead of pasting it and so on but in vain. This problem
occurs in all my macs and when i transfer it to a pc i am into a total
Jinx.

I can think of a few different things that might cause this problem.

First be sure that you have installed the appropriate service releases for
Office 98 and that you rebuilt the desktop file after the udpates were
installed.

If the problem remains after installing the updates, try trashing the
PowerPoint preference files.
