Post subject: Ethernet card for PowerBase 180 ...
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>hardware>misc (more info?)

An acquaintance is moving up to a
PowerMac G4 from her old Power Computing
Powerbase 180. Ideally she could
transfer files from the old computer to
the new one via an ethernet connection.
However, she does not have an ethernet
card in the powerbase 180 (although it
was an option). Can anyone recommend a
particular brand pci card for the
Powerbase or will any old pci card --
Mac or PC -- work?
THANKS

You neeed to find a card with Mac drivers. I use a D-Link DFE-530TX+
<http://www.d-link.com/products/?pid=122> with a Starmax 3000/200
You can get these at office supply stores for under $20. I got mine on
sale for $5 after rebates.
