I've been told that one I can configure the app so I can get my open the
e-mail that I receive on Yahoo,in Mail. Is this true?

Yes, _IF_ you pay to upgrade to Yahoo! Mail Plus, for $19.99/yr.

Bummer on the price upgrade. I suppose that's because you don't have to
look at their damned ads if you're downloading the mail into an actual
mail reader.

Apple's Mail is pretty good about dealing with any webmail service that
allows POP or IMAP connections. I was able to get Mail to work well
with my uncle-in-law's Juno account without any difficulty, once I found
Juno's instructions on their atrocious web site.

Not without software help unless you have the Yahoo! Plus account
that allows POP access.
