wlan card prism nitro (802.11g Wi-Fi Wlan) - SuSE 8.2

Post subject: wlan card prism nitro (802.11g Wi-Fi Wlan) - SuSE 8.2

I got a new notebook and everything I got to work -except my wlan-card.
Is this technik simply too modern for linux or is there a way to get it
work?
(Don?t be angry if I ask this way - but I couldn?t find anything about wlan
in the helpfiles)

Do you mean your "wireless" card? "WLAN" means something else....

He's talking about his wireless card / WLAN card.

I've always seen these as different names for the same. How are they not ?

As far as I know wlan is an abbreviation for wireless lan...
But besides definitions - do you have an idea how to get it to work?
