Wrong - by default what each party said is correct but
but doofy raised it to another level
by implicitly claiming that the second opinion had
no data to substantiate it.
So its doofy's turn to substantiate his claim.

Yeah but you are dumb and its arguably a waste of doofy's time
even if doofy could prove his counter claim.

I didn't implicitly claim anything. I'm asking him, like I've asked Rex
"Linux Visionary" Ballard a thousand times, to substantiate his claims.

If he has some valid supporting info, I'd like to see it. I bet he slinks
away as usual.

Documentation for the fact that Microsoft reports 'shipped' product as
'installed user base' is available at theRegister.com and the
Inquirer.com, and even popped up in my Yahoo news flashes a couple weeks
ago. Also, mentioned in Wired.

I really detest people challenging common knowledge that is in the media
and press prevalent and available to anyone with an IQ above that of
tepid tea.

The fact that Microsoft has repeatedly lied should come into play for
any who read their press releases. Definitely doubt they have sold to
end users 60 million copies of their latest abysmal failure!

I am in the Chain stores doing demonstrations with LiveCDs, and see more
Vista systems and boxes coming back for return than are going out!
Sales staff informs anyone who listens that 'sales are a flop on Vista
machines', everyone seems to want something that works.

You cola liars/idiots have to be challenged. For instance, you used to blab
that Linux systems ran 50x faster than Windows systems. Why did you
discontinue that particular piece of stupidity?

> The fact that Microsoft has repeatedly lied should come into play for
> any who read their press releases. Definitely doubt they have sold to
> end users 60 million copies of their latest abysmal failure!

First it was "does NOT translate into 60 million users" and now it's
"definitely doubt". Just so you know, MS doesn't sell to end users. And
just so you're clear, you don't know how many Vista systems have been sold.

Now it's time to admit you make up statements to support your anti-MS
hatred. All Linux "advocates" on cola do it.

> I am in the Chain stores doing demonstrations with LiveCDs,

This is too weird. Unless you're there as an official representative of a
distro or hardware vendor - which is unlikely - it means you hover uninvited
around the hardware, and when customers get near you launch into a bad Linux
sales pitch, complete with all your lies. Then you try to force a LiveCD
into their hand.

At which chain store(s) do you hold these "demonstrations"? Does management
know what you're doing?

You cola idiots can't make a post without multiple lies, can you?

You probably could. But why? Example of me "whining" or "misconstruing"
please. I can find lots of Roy doing both. And you actually.

You are whining now and Miss Conscrewing before.
So I take it you accept that you are "Miss Conscrewer"
as well being an idiot that half wits have reasons to complain about
because it infringes on their trade?

Choices choices!!

Like claiming the sun will shine tomorrw,
the validity is implicit unless you can prove him wrong
with your own data.

Here's a breakdown on market share taken from
a sampling of 125,000 users:

81.82% Windows XP
4.82% Linux
4.27% Windows 2000
3.27% PPC
2.64% Mac OS X
1.55% Windows Vista
1.45% Unknown
0.09% Windows CE
0.09% Windows ME

So if there's 980 million PCs running Windows,
then 1.55 x 980 million = 15.19 million Vista installs.

Somebody's sitting on 45 million licenses...somewhere...
....somewhere over the rainbow I think.

Hadron really misconstrues the situation which exists -- that I only see
his inanity when someone else replies to him.

Your inanity I see all the time <grin>!

Weren't you the one that used to do the "pirate" bit -- "aarrgh, shiver
me timers" and all that? That was /cool/.

You may well be the biggest one in COLA at this moment, DFS. You're
deranged on the subject of COLA posters!

The point that doofus fails to grasp is that with Microsoft, SHIPPED
licences are not the same thing at all as USED licences......we all know
that OEMs are contracted to take many more licences than they will ever sell
on....

Yes - the OEMs. SHIPPED licences do NOT equate to an installed USER
base.....
