When I do "gem contents httpclient" it says:
Unable to find gem 'httpclient' in default gem paths
When I do gem list I get:

httpclient (2.1.0)
gives something like the functionality of libwww-perl (LWP) in Ruby

The error message looks odd, because you can get the list of gems.

In my environment (using 0.9.4-1), I can list the contents of httpclient:

% gem contents httpclient

The version of your rubygems is 0.9.4-1, while your libgems-ruby1.8 is still
0.9.0-5. It is better to upgrade it to 0.9.4-1.


Uhmm, I should explicitly specify the dependent version of libgems-ruby1.8 in
rubygems.
