Post subject: Bug#411784: cryptsetup: Swap identified as minix filesystem
Archived from groups: linux>debian>bugs>dist (more info?)

Package: cryptsetup
Version: 2:1.0.4+svn26-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

I use an encrypted swap partition with random key:
swap /dev/sda6 /dev/random swap,cipher=aes-cbc-plain,size=128,hash=ripemd160

after a few reboots this partition is identified as a minix filesystem,
and cryptsetup refuses to start it.

Also, after failing with one entry in crypttab, the following entries
are ignored.

Thanks for your support
/Fredrik

What does "/lib/udev/vol_id /dev/sda6" identify the partition as?
