Post subject: Bug#410953: links2: auto-written links.cfg fails to get read back in some locales
Archived from groups: linux>debian>bugs>dist (more info?)

Package: links2
Version: 2.1pre26-4
Severity: normal
Tags: l10n

Upon startup, links2 printed these lines:

Error parsing config file /home/vassilii/.links2/links.cfg, line 36: Number expected
Error parsing config file /home/vassilii/.links2/links.cfg, line 37: Number expected
Error parsing config file /home/vassilii/.links2/links.cfg, line 38: Number expected
Error parsing config file /home/vassilii/.links2/links.cfg, line 39: Number expected
Error parsing config file /home/vassilii/.links2/links.cfg, line 40: Number expected

I never touched this file, it was created apparently by my "save
options" from the menu.

Opening these 5 lines discovers the following text:
display_red_gamma 2,2000
display_green_gamma 2,2000
display_blue_gamma 2,2000
user_gamma 1,0000
bfu_aspect 1,0000
apparently, it was written out respecting the locale settings (using the
comma for the decimal separator), yet when parsing, it only accepts the
dot as the decimal separator.
