Post subject: [Samba] upgraded --> cannot print anymore
Archived from groups: linux>samba (more info?)

Hi,

I recently upgraded a samba server (2.2.0a-0 SuSE RPM) to 3.0.0
(compiled by myself). Then printing stopped to work.

I downgraded back to 2.2.8a (self compiled), but it still does not
work.

What does work, is something like

net use lpt1: \\server\printer
copy bla lpt1:

But when printing from a Windows application, in the samba spool
directory a 0 bytes sized file gets generated and the print manager on
Windows says "spooling" but nothing happens.

When I look at the samba log file, I have a bunch of

[2003/11/10 13:25:51, 0] rpc_server/srv_pipe_hnd.c:unmarshall_rpc_header(398)
unmarshall_rpc_header: FIRST endianness flag (0) different in next PDU !

What could be wrong?

chris
