Post subject: static IP config
Archived from groups: linux>debian>laptop (more info?)

I have a laptop I have loaded ubuntu/debian on. The problem I am having
is that every time I reboot the laptop, the IP address changes on eth0.
This breaks my networking connections with my other desktops (running
SuSE 11.0). I searched google and found a couple of solutions but the
dynamic IP address remains. Has anyone else had this issue and resolved
it so that the eth0 address can be set to static?

Thanks,

JOe
