Archived from groups: linux>gentoo>dev (more info?)

.... still contains the following entries:

app-admin/eselect-compiler
dev-util/confcache

Both packages were punted about two years ago, so maybe it's time to
clean up?

confcache is still available in masterdriverz's overlay (although it was
recently removed from the layman list, since he retired a while back), and ¹
(a Bugzilla search for bugs opened in the last year with confcache listed in
emerge --info output) indicates that a few people still have it installed, or
at least have in the near past, so I'd suggest keeping that one for now. On
the other hand, a similar search for eselect-compiler returns no results, so
it's probably OK to drop it.
