Post subject: [gentoo-dev] eselect-1.2 pretest
Archived from groups: linux>gentoo>dev (more info?)

eselect-1.2_rc1 is now in the tree.

This version contains relatively large changes for better support of
Gentoo Prefix [1], which I think will justify a pretest. Therefore it
will stay in package.mask for one or two weeks.

Other notable changes are:

- The "basename" and "dirname" functions have been changed, they now
output the same result as their command equivalents [2] (as it was
always intended [3]). I didn't find any module that specifically
relied on the old behaviour, but maybe module authors should
double-check.

- The GLEP 42 news module has finally been renamed from "news-tng"
to "news" [4]. Paludis users, please test if interaction with your
package manager works.
