Hi. I've just installed Fedora 11 on a third hard drive. I have Vista on a
RAID 0 setup. The install proceeded with no problems. Reboot, no linux just
Vista. Last time I installed Foedora (version 10) the dual boot was set up
during the install and woreked fine, but that was with different hardware.
Any help much appreciated.
System:
i7 920
ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 - X58 chipset
6GB DDR3 - 1333mHz
GTX 260

Thanks
AJJ:-)

You could use BootPart. This copies a small file from the Linux partiiton
onto your booted Windows system, and adds a line to boot.ini.
I have used this one.

You see a Windows/Linux selection at boot time for a few seconds.

I think you can also use the Ubuntu Wubi to boot Windows, and then continue
with a boot of Linux, but I don't see that now, just a way to use Wubi to
do an install of Ubuntu to a file on a windows partition.

For whatever reason, grub (the bootloader) didn't get installed in the
MBR. Maybe it got installed on the wrong disk. You can install grub
after booting from the installation CD/DVD and selecting the rescue
option. That assumes that Rescue mode can find your installation and
that grub, etc., can actually handle your RAID if you're using RAID
hardware. (RAID controllers are notoriously finicky with Linux.)

If /boot/grub didn't get set up, then you'll have to do it manually
before you install grub in the MBR. It's silly to reproduce the grub
info node in a Usenet note, so start with Rescue mode and see what you see.
