Hi Everybody, I am using our only serial port(/dev/ttyS0) for pppos.
So, we are blocking the same in inittab. Wondering if I can do
something so that I can close the serial for pppos when needed and
reopen it for getty when its over. Any idea, how to go about it?
Thanks and Regards,

hmmm, is it possible to use both together? i mean i wil do something
when pppos is active(like killing some process), and then bringing
back to same state as earlier when pppd exits? btw, is it necessary to
lock serial when pppd runs over serial(i mean to have exclusicve
access)?
Any link which conforms to any statement will be great.
Thanks,

I think mgetty is smart enough to allow incoming and outgoing connections
without reconfiguring for each separately. |
