Hi,
I'm new to the hole linux thing after my Powerbook broke i decided to
buy a dell vostro 1400 and run debian. I am just wondering if anyone
else has one to see what they have managed to get working on it.

I don't know about the model number, but I've heard good things about
the vostro line, in general. Try googling "site:lists.debian.org vostro".
