Post subject: how to build a package?
Archived from groups: linux>redhat>rpm (more info?)

Given that I can compile the source and put the installed files
into $RPM_BUILD_ROOT, how do I tell rpmbuild to simply take the
files I have put there and place them into a *.rpm?

In %install section of the .spec file; see www.rpm.org for howtos and
detailed instructions.
