Post subject: [Samba] Upgrading because of performance problem ?
Archived from groups: linux>samba (more info?)

Hi,

About two weeks ago, I migrated on old server to new hardware, running
samba 3.2.7. First I experienced slow performance with an old
DOS-program. Later we found newer software was also slower than before.

I was wondering if upgrading to samba 3.3 or 3.4 would solve things.
Since I have doubts it will improve things, I ask.
Maybe I should go ahead nevertheless, before we get our first W7 PC.

Any idea's ?

Regards,

Koenraad Lelong.
