Personally speaking - which is really the only way that one *can* speak, of
course - I do wonder from time to time if I should filter all Roy's posts
*in* and all the rest *out* !
Sure, in skimming Roy's posts, there's perhaps only one-in-ten that
interests me, but look at the alternatives. How many posts do you *really*
think I'd miss from flatfish, hadron, DFS..... ?
Have any of you ever seen anything of value from these people? |

Marti surely buttered up Shearman, when he asked him how to make a selective
kill file rule containing "Zeke".

So what? I filter out Roy's posts because I'm not the *target* of those
posts. What's the point of preaching to the choir? Roy's posts are
specifically for infuriating the wintrolls, and it works.

No, never, and I've been here (on and off) since 1996.
I've had a thousand deep belly laughs from various Advocates over the
years, and even learnt a thing or two from them.
Probably the most recent was Chris A, and before that, Norman P.
The trolls have always been the forging, foul mouthed cretins they are
today, which makes me think they're just societies misfits, living in
obscurity.
I think they use Linux as a target because it's the hot new thing and a
possible outlet for their, miserable, humourless lives.

In the troll's worldview there's no "grey" only black + white.
Therefore, if you use windows and Linux then you are a hypocrite for
posting here. If you agree with Roy once, then you are his slave and are
receiving orders from him.

You should.
That way you can read his dishonest lies and personal take on it and then
follow his links to his own further reading of things rather than read
the original posts and the views of the real people involved.
God forbid you would read your own take into it. |

The troll is seductive. It repeats its lies, expecting correction,
hoping for attention.

I would doubt that "reliable source", since Microsoft has no shortage of
very qualified applicants for summer jobs. Unless he's been keeping the
good parts of his resume hidden, there's little chance he'd get an offer
from Microsoft.

I would say "contradicting" or "falsifying" rather than "infuriating". If we offer a lot
of proof (in the form of evidence) that GNU/Linux is better, this will help.
