Idiot. Welcoming Roy's posts and filtering them are not mutually
exclusive. They can still improve the balance of the newsgroup, and
spark interesting and informative discussions.

Better yet, have Timmy name the advocates who would prefer that Roy stop
posting his news articles.

Good luck, Timmy!

Timmy is too much of a lying scumbag to back any of his claims.

You guys are the experts at that.
It's called Lying for LIEnux via omission.

IOW why aren't you correcting the legions of errors in Roy's posts?

Why? What's wrong with slrn? It is a fantastic piece of software! I
use it too. Or do you think since AZ (Damon?) uses slrn and so does
Ahlstrom, both are the same posters?

Yes, indeed! The debate will be whether or not DFS spams as well. Or
do nessuno, snit, flatfish-like posters. Roy's dumps are indeed spam
since he doesn't show much interest in their resulting discussion, or
lack thereof. He also automates posting such messages. His presence is
not required for posting, which means he is not using really serious
about participation. I am just happy with a simple scorefile rule. I
have no interest in reporting him.

*chuckle*

Poor Telnet. Can he ever get *anything* right?

Tim rarely gets into slanging matches but when he decides to put a subject to
rest he does just that.

Him googling up Liarmutt swearing and cussing was superb.

I think Tim Smith has had it with being nice around here.
Being nice in COLA gets you no place.

In this sewer, it's best to lower your standards right down to the level of
the Linux vermin that infest the place and only alter your approach for
decent people who treat others decently.

"Hadron" is simply trolling me.

He thinks I actively support Roy. I do not. I agree with him on some
things, and think he goes too far on others.

Perfectly normal diversity for any collective, but to "Hadron", seeing
me agreeing with Roy on occasion means that Roy is my "master". Yes,
"Hadron" has actually applied that term. Silly troll.

Anyway, "Hadron" takes advantage of my compulsion to make smart-ass replies
in order to distract me from relating anecdotes that show just why
I absolutely love Linux and find Windows (client or server) to pale in
comparison, even though I program primarily for Windows.

Chris Ahlstrom : Always posting anything to back up Roy. Clueless about
most things and totally hypocritical as he makes his money from Windows SW.

But Linux Magazine is a Novell shill:

<http://boycottnovell.com/2009/01/09/novell-press-conflict-of-interests/>

<http://boycottnovell.com/2009/05/14/linux-magazine-pro-suse-bias/>

Of course they would be critical of Ubuntu.

(And remember, Roy says "I also check all my statements to ensure I can
defend each sentence", so he must be right about them).

Shearman like to post his scat fantasies here in COLA.
I think he needs to find a new boyfriend.
Maybe Marti can lend a "hand".

Schestowitz is a paranoid nut. According to his logic, anyone who disagrees
with *his* views on Linux, FOSS, life in general, is a Microsoft shill.

Seems odd that he has advertisements for Microsoft on his websites.
Seems odd that he offers up his Microsoft "skills" on his resume'.

Somebody on digg nailed it perfectly:

"Roy Schestowitz is to Linux advocacy as Pat Robertson is to religion. He
scares away more people than he converts".

Keep an eye on Linux Magazine for a positive Linux article and Roy will
make certain to splatter it all over the place.
