Post subject: RPM database
Archived from groups: linux>redhat>rpm (more info?)

Ive heard that sometimes you need to rebuild the database.
Why does this have to be done?
Ive just upgraded to KDE 3.2.3 on my SuSE 9 computer and yast is
complaining about dependency problems relating to the old
KDE3.14 packages.
Would rebiuldinf the database help?
