The plastic is cheap but 2 things I really like: it has a longer cord (3 feet) than my old coffeemaker, and it makes good coffee. I don't expect it to last long but I didn't spend much so I can live with that trade-off. I had a supply of cone shaped filters and this takes cupcake style... As I said, I don't expect it to last long.
I am enjoying my coffeemaker. It is easy to use and clean and I love that it came with a permenant filter, no paper things to buy or deal with. The product arrived in great shape and on time. Thank You
First, it is very difficult to see the water in the little gauge that shows the amount poured in. So, it is quite easy to over-pour the water into the machine. Also, as it brews, it seems to get coffee and/or remnants of grounds everywhere on the machine--even in the cavity for the water. It is a very messy and not very sturdy machine. I do not recommend it.
Proctor-Silex 12-cup Automatic Drip Coffeemaker, uses cupcake filters , with adjustable brewing flavor control & on/ off light indicator-With Programmable LCD digital clock, and 2 Hour Auto-Shut Off
