HUGE skillet--has a hot ring area where heating element is--does not heat evenly--good for large families
Large capacity. I use the steamer and baker also. It is very versitle and is great to use in the warm climates as you do not heat up the house.
This is my second purchase of one of these skillets. I use them SO often I wear them out. I have tried many other brands/models over the years and this Presto Professional model is by far the best at even cooking, easy clean-up, and a high quality non-stick finish. I recommend this product highly!
I fried chicken in it, I was really impressed with the ease of use. I highly recommend this skillet. The negative is that you have to order the cook book and steam grill. It has temperature settings, for correct temperature cooking and see through cover work great.
We purchased this skillet 2 years ago and right off the bat it cooks way hotter than the temp setting,Fact is you cant really cook past about 250 and just the warm setting will burn your food if not careful,We got used to it and its little idiocincricies.Unfortunately the non stick. has gone bad and it does stick much. We use it more than twice a week and feel its better than most we have had. After 20 years in my business one of the main reasons i quit is no matter how hard you try to get great products at any price mediocre seems to be the flavor of the day.Been reading reviews here all day and money and price guarantee nothing.
Contemporary new oval design. Fries, grills, stews and cooks casseroles. DiamondCoat deluxe nonstick finish inside and out. Fully immersbile and dishwasher safe with heat control removed.
This attractively shaped oval electric skillet has the capacity of a 15-inch round skillet and cooks breakfast, lunch, or dinner for six to eight people without requiring you to turn the stove on once. Equipped with a warming setting, this skillet also works as a buffet server to conveniently brown sweet and sour meatballs or grill appetizer-sized cheese sandwiches and serve right from the same pan. The heat control ranges from 200 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (in 50-degree increments) and automatically maintains the proper heat setting so foods cook at the same rate as they would on the stove but in a more energy-efficient manner than a range or oven. Made of heavy cast aluminum, the skillet has a beautiful white-colored nonstick interior and exterior surface so meals won’t stick and clean-up is easy. The durable tempered glass cover shows what is being served at a buffet and lets you monitor cooking progress. The skillet rests on two plastic legs that won’t transfer heat from the pan. With the heat control removed, the skillet is fully immersible in water and dishwasher-safe. Presto covers this electric skillet under a two-year warranty and warns against using metal utensils with it as they will scratch the nonstick surface. --Cristina Vaamonde
