I would like to setup Opera as a default mail client in Ubuntu 9.04, so I
can send photo's directly form f-spot, but somehow I can't manage.

What is the command to start up Opera opening with a blank email with
specific attachment?

Thx

Jan

Thx that worked, although I could not attach attachments with something
like
opera --remote 'openComposer(new-window)' 'mailto:..' -attachment file1
file2

I can set body, subject, bcc with the mailto protocol, but attachments are
rightfully considered to be dangerous to be part of that.

I'm afraid Opera is underestimating the wishes and needs of users to use
integrated shell features like, `compress and email` for files and `scale
and email` for photo's. In windows but also in Linux, which should offer a
level playing field for Opera compared to the windows environment. So IMHO
there is no reason Evolution can and Opera can't.

I know a few users that dumped Opera as a mailclient for that particular
reason.

Concerning the quotes, i had to set quotes around the mailto command to
get the & working so this worked:
'mailto:"whiskers <whiskers@...>"?bcc=jan@jan.com&subject=help&body=how do
i'

Thx
Jan

I prefer it above thunderbird or pegasus. I like the simplicity and
intuitive approach to multiple accounts and filters.
Never tried your suggestions, might do though.

thx
