Here is a simple graphic that I made which can be applied to wallpapers,
etc. It can be shaded, scaled and rotated according to taste and applied
to an existing image using the gimp:

Ooh! Nice! Cheers!

Just the thing for my default backgrounds. Smile

Nice, and thanks for your efforts Smile. It reminds me a little of the
Edgar Allan Poe story 'The Pit and the Pendulum'!

Interesting. How did you do that?

I rather like Slackwares non-intrusive approach. I don't see other people
running linux around here, but the thing that always stikes me with my own
use is that NOT having the distro's name on the desktop is good indicator
that I am using slack.

That said, perhaps one or two slack wallpapers added to the set included in
the distribution would be nice - but obviously this would not be the default
one used.

Had to laugh when I googled slackware wallpaper:

http://www.wallpaperpimper.com/wallpaper/download-wallpaper-Slackware-
size-1024x768-id-51487.htm

It gives instructions for setting this as wallpaper on:

Windows
Mac OS X
Mac OS 9
Sony PSP

Not too bright.

I like the wallpaper, though.

Ah, now that's what Slackware wallpaper should look like. Actually,
it looks just like the background image in the Slackware SLiM theme
included with SLiM from SlackBuilds.org.
