I wasn't saying it was inacurate, just common.

I can't get around Microsoft, because of my work. But I prefer to use Linux,
so that is what I do at home. So I have to take part in discussions on both
sides. Unfortunately Linux isn't far enough evolved to be used at large
scale.
So most companies keep running Windows. Although people like us can make a
change to this by keep using Linux and keep promoting it...

Correction: you have not evolved enough to deploy it on a large scale.

I, and others, do just fine.

It's the indian not the arrows.

I can't do this either, because my company is not prepared to give its
employees courses to switch to Linux. So they have made the decission not to
switch to Linux on desktops. But I am allowed to use it as a serversystem,
which is not always interesting because of the Windows desktops.

and why would you bother when with the optimizations you don't learn anything
because it's just a complex windows thing?

what skills you learn from microsoft products will become far quicker than the
skills gained in tinkering with linux
