Why does people brother having this Microsoft/LINUX mud-slinging thing?

I am new to LINUX but installed REDHAT 8 without too much hassles. Getting
the hp5550 printer to work was a bit of a struggle until I plugged it into
the right USB port! I do not think a person learns much about computers
running Microsoft products. I could never figure out how to optimize a NT
machine. I also thought Microsoft inserted delays in the operating system
after awhile, to force the public to buy new hardware and software. This is
a sick greedy practice, and is one of the seven deadly sins.

I am amazed with the quaity of free software. Eg. GIMP is great! Linux gives
me hope for the planet's future.

Because people inherintly enjoy conflict and debate.

Why do you feel a need to bring it up?

Because it's fun and because you can keep slinging mud against
M$-lovers, since they won't understand it anyway Wink

Same here Very Happy

I totally agree with you, I'm new to linux, but from what I've seen so far
its better than I could ever dream of.

Only one thing, it IS possible to optimize windows NT, but its kind of
advanced, many registry tweaks, etc.

Just started a discussion about this in a Microsoft newsgroup. They are
pretty aggresive when you start to talk about their license policy and
copying their software. I guess it is kind of fun to fool around with those
guys...

Because the people that start the mud slinging doesn't care for either
Windows or Linux, they care for the mud.

So why have I never heard about crossposted flames to alt.fruit.apples and

Because they already start calling names at me and stopped using arguments.
For crying out loud I am winning this discussion of Microsoft employees. I
guess they are afraid that they lose the value of their licneses in
Europe...

Yes, that's right. That's the way mature adults handle things.
When the other person resorts to name calling we get on our high
horse and taunt them some more.

Why are you even bothering? Talk about Windows in Windows groups
and Linux in Linux groups and never the twain shall meet.

How hard a concept is this?

I believe LINUX people are good hearted people who like to enlighten the
misguided Microsoft folks, trying to rescue them from the dark age of poorly
designed software. Microsoft software is written and supported by people
who are now trapped after being "educated" in Microsoft's career entrapment
program. Bill gates is no doubt a brilliant empire builder, not much unlike
Adolph Hitler.

Ok how about comparing Bill Gates with George W Bush.
Or some of the communist folks like chairman Mao. Or another sweethearts
like Josef Stalin.

The point is that Adolph received the most publicity. Bill Gates is not a
murderer like to above mentioned, but destroying advance patterns is
also a sin. Bill also created an evil empire, aposing God's wave of
information reaching this plannet at the moment.
