Archived from groups: comp>os>linux>advocacy (more info?)

"Upgraded and have many problems:
No sound
Scanner not recognized.
Printer not recognized.
Can't get root in terminal because password is not recognized.

All in all,it is a disaster. I should have stayed with 9.04 which worked
flawlessly. I am fairly new to Ubuntu - do these kind of serious problems
occur with every six-monthly upgrade ? If so I will move away.
The poll shows that flawless upgrades are in the minority.

I wish I could go back to 9.04."
