Yes, Intel (x86) Macs are heresy and blasphemy!!

So, keep your PPC Mac or computer and use a PPC Linux like:

There is plenty of life left in the PPC architecture, and a great many
applications won't make the switch to Intel or AMD, ever.

A reasonably current Linux, therefore, becomes a necessity.
