Hello:

When I tried to install mail-notification with aptitude, it told me it
would take almost 100 Mb on disk space, the actual mail-notification
taking only about 3 Mb.
I haven't used apt-get for a while but I remember it didn't install
recommended packages by default (maybe changing in the future?).

There is aptitude install --without-recommends, but still,
mail-notification-evolution, one of the recommended, depends on
evolution, plus the yahoo and the third package.

Since a recommended package is usually one that complements or brings
a functionality that is generally desired, I think installing evolution
(as dependency of mail-notification-evolution) is a bit over the line in
that respect (calendar, address book, MTA,MRA.., mail).
I can't speak for the other packages as I don't know how much
functionality they bring to mail-notification.

Perhaps a change of mail-notification-evolution to a suggests relationship
will make it saner? Otherwise, evolution will still be a "recommended"
package.
