Package: libtool
Version: 2.2.6a-4
Severity: wishlist
Tags: patch

Hi,

Please could you include my patch for GNU/kOpenSolaris support? It's
already been merged upstream:

http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/libtool.git/commit/?id=356234e0e70f82...99622c8

but unfortunately they don't seem to release very often. Patching it in
the Debian package will help getting more library packages support
GNU/kOpenSolaris.

We'll try to get out a release hopefully in the next couple of weeks or
so. You can help testing if you like.

(That isn't to say I argue against this PR, merely FYI.)

Hi Kurt,

Any news about this? If you lack time to apply that patch, do you mind
an NMU?

Thanks

The DRM opt-in fallacy: "Your data belongs to us. We will decide when (and
how) you may access your data; but nobody's threatening your freedom: we
still allow you to remove your data and not access it at all."

I was waiting for a new upstream release. But it looks like they
have various issues they need to resolv before they make a new
release. I'll try and upload a fixed version during the weekend.

I was preparing a new version. But I ran into 4 regression tests
failures I didn't see during the previous upload and will need
to take a look at that first.
