Not everyone is happy with Solaris. Saw these tweets today from Randal
Schwartz:

---------------------------------------------
Neil mandates moving insightcruises.com off OpenSolaris EC2
"immediately". Not ready for prime time. Looking for hosting now.
---------------------------------------------

Someone responded asking what problems he was experiencing. His answer
was:

---------------------------------------------
@sdelgado Apache just hangs after 6-12 hours. No error log. I have
"pstack" logs if it would help. But Neil says "back to OpenBSD
*now*"
---------------------------------------------

Someone else asked:

not ready for primetime? OpenSolaris or OpenSolaris on EC2?

Response:
---------------------------------------------
@amerine Could be any of EC2, OpenSolaris, Apache, DNS, or just my
incompetence. But I ran this site on OpenBSD for five years, no
problem.
---------------------------------------------

I have an older full Sun Solaris system...cpu, monitor, optical drives, HD's and
manuals. Not set up at the moment, but..
