Audio to speaker AND headphone

The system is a notebook. I want also to make calls from other
places. And in a notebook you can not put a soundcard.
The soundcard in the notebook is a:
82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller

Then my first assumption would be that it is not possible. I would like

Not the answer you want, but to turn the question around:
When I used to use Skype on a laptop, I used a USB handset which was, of
course, a separate sound card, therefore no problem with ringing on the
pc speaker and voice on the handset. Assuming your laptop has a hardware
mute on the speakers when a sound jack is inserted I don't see any
options other than pull the headphones out when you aren't wearing them.

I had one like that in the past, but did not manage to get it working
under Linux. (Is a 'few' years back.) Maybe I should try that again.

That was what I was thinking myself. I hoped for a better solution, but
I can live with it.

Blurb at the bottom of that page states "Registers as a second sound
device on system."

Whether or not that "second device" will remain active while the
headphones are plugged in I have no idea but maybe someone else here
will be able to chime in on this note.

Both Ekiga and Skypa has the option to use the speakers for the ring signal
and the headset (in my case USB headset) , I have not tested Twinkle, but
if they don't support it, ask the developers to add that feature, it's silly
to send the ring signal to your headset, either you don't hear it or it will
make your head to explode.

I did, but his answer was:
the audio section of the system settings you can specify
an audio device for the ring tone and another one for the
conversation.

If you want the ring tone on both your headset as the speaker
then you have to create some ALSA device to do that (not sure
if that's possible).

Also when the headphone is not plugged in, it goes over the speaker and
when I plug the headphone in, the headphone goes mute. So maybe I want
the impossible.
I have been looking at USB speakers. Maybe that is the best solution.

I just looked at the description for Jack

"JACK is a low-latency audio server written primarily for the Linux
operating system. It can connect a number of different applications to an
audio device, as well as allow them to share audio between themselves. Its
clients can run in their own processes (as a normal application), or they
can run within a JACK server (as a plug-in)."

I don't know that it would do sound direction out specific outputs, and I
would love to have alarms and other system sounds out the rear speaker jack
for 5.1 card while music is playing out the front speaker jack.

I tried installing Jack a while back, but could not find a GUI setup for it
that would do what I wanted, and even Googling for setup information lead
me nowhere. Back when I tried Jack was when pulseaudio was new, and
causing problems - now I have pulseaudio de-installed, so it's time to try
again. I just noticed that there is jackmix and jack-plumbing.

Installed but no man pages. Jackmix (GUI) requires jackd running (via
terminal) and if closed, jackmix goes away. May work, looks like a mixer
console with lots of knobs, it defaults to 8 or so inputs and 2 outputs,
but I didn't see anyway of defining what the inputs and outputs are
connected to. http://lau.linuxaudio.org/jack/ has more info, but
the 'diagram' was not found on the server.

Then it has the same feature as Ekiga, Skype , the USB headset is another
alsa device, and I never unplug it since many applications do strange things
if a device just cease to exist while it's open.

If you have the ring signal in the speakers there is no need to have it also
in the headset, you will hear the call anyway if you have them on.
